Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are built-in apps on every iPhone and Android phone. They are designed to store digital cards — boarding passes, event tickets, loyalty cards, and now your drone pilot certificate. Adding your drone license to your wallet means it is always exactly where you expect it.

The wallet pass format is specifically designed for quick-glance information. When you open your wallet or double-click your side button (iPhone) or tap the wallet notification (Android), your drone license appears as a card with all the essential details: your full name, registration number, license categories (A1/A3, A2), issuing authority, and expiration date.

On iPhone, your drone license pass can even appear on your lock screen when relevant, just like a boarding pass appears when you arrive at the airport. The pass is stored locally on your device, so it works without internet — perfect for remote flying locations with no cell signal.

Supported Certificates

Our wallet pass service supports all EU EASA drone pilot certificates issued under regulation EU 2019/947. This includes both the A1/A3 proof of competency (the basic certificate for Open Category flying) and the A2 remote pilot certificate (for flying closer to people with C2 drones).

Certificates from every EU member state are supported. Each country has its own national aviation authority that issues these standardized certificates — the LBA in Germany, RDW/KIWA in the Netherlands, DGAC in France, AESA in Spain, ENAC in Italy, and many more. Regardless of which authority issued your certificate, the wallet pass format remains the same.

Your certificate must be the original PDF downloaded from the issuing authority's portal and must contain a QR code. We use this QR code to verify that the document is a genuine EASA certificate before processing. Scanned copies or screenshots will not work.

Do I get both Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes?
Yes. The €2.99 payment covers both platforms. After payment, you receive an Apple Wallet .pkpass file for download on iPhone and a Google Wallet link for Android devices. You can also send the pass to a different device via email if you complete the purchase on a computer.
Can I share my wallet pass with someone else?
The wallet pass contains your personal license information and is tied to your certificate. While the .pkpass file can technically be forwarded, the pass displays your name and registration number, so it would not be useful to anyone else. Each pilot should generate their own pass from their own certificate.
What happens if I delete the wallet pass accidentally?
After your purchase, we send the wallet pass to the email address you used at checkout. You can re-add the pass from that email at any time. If you cannot find the email, contact us and we can re-send the pass to your email address.
Does the wallet pass use data or need internet to display?
No. Once added to your wallet, the pass is stored locally on your device and displays offline. You do not need Wi-Fi or mobile data to show your drone license. The QR code on the pass is also stored locally, though the inspector scanning it would need internet to reach the verification system.
